Addictive Trigger is an intelligent drum sound replacement plugin that uses smart new technologies (Audio Fingerprint and SuperStart) to make the process simple and seamless. These new technologies, combined with the best sounds and features from Addictive Drums 2, represent the fastest, most accurate and fun way to take your live drum recordings to a whole new level. Just fire up Addictive Trigger and you’re ready to go. Precise detection and outstanding sounds in one plugin.
.
During the Addictive Trigger research phase, users from all over the world reported that accurate beat detection is absolutely essential when using drum replacement plugins. Unfortunately, existing trigger technologies tend to have flaws that require manual tuning and fixing.
We strive to create products that are better than what is currently available, and as a result, we have created a completely new method of detecting drum hits called Audio Fingerprint. Our new system uses FFT analysis to accurately identify drum sounds, even if the source material has a lot of microphone distortion or background noise. It’s fast, it’s accurate, and we think it will change the way you work with live-recorded drums.
Typical drum replacement tools rely on rudimentary filtering and transient detection, which results in many false positives and missed hits. Audio Fingerprint solves this problem with a new FFT-based matching system. It’s so accurate that it typically has no problem detecting poorly played ghost notes amidst background noise, while suppressing microphone distortion and other unwanted sounds.
In addition to very accurate detection of low-level ghost notes, our Audio Fingerprint system can also differentiate between different types of hits that are played at the same speed (such as side stick and open snare hits). This allows Addictive Trigger to reproduce the correct articulation of samples, even if the incoming source material contains different types of drum hits with the same peak levels
